and brought up in Mugla, Turkey. He studied Molecular
Biology at Bogazici University but he did not graduated.
Ali Caglar and his brother started filmmaking together.
The short film 'Autumn on the Asphalt' which is written by
Çağatay Özkan and directed by Özkan brothers was their first
film sellected to an international film festival, Adana Golden Boll, 2007.
He has been making films since 2006. He attended several
national and international film festivals. Professionally, he works
as a cinematographer, photographer and director. Ali Caglar and his
friends perform a free workshop on filmmaking named 'Spontaneous Film
Reaction' every semester. He is also a member of a filmmaker group named
'34 milimetre'. He is now studying sociology. He lives in İstanbul.
